Job summary

Volumetric Building Companies (VBC) seeks a Quality Inspector to oversee modular building inspections from framing to finish in a manufacturing setting, ensuring only quality modules ship to customers.

Candidates should be proficient with tape measures and standard QA tools, read blueprints, report findings clearly, and work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a Quality organization.
• Home Inspection experience would be a big plus!
• Experience with Construction: familiarity with building materials, wood construction practices and quality finished building products.
• Proficient with MS Office to prepare reports.
• Read and interpret blueprints / shop drawings (GD&T experience a plus).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to multitask in fast-paced environments.
• Able to collaborate across functions and locations.
• Knowledge of GD&T is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform inspections of Modular buildings at various construction stages.
• Log measurements and results in QA systems.
• Use tape measures, calipers, levels, and meters to ensure specs.
• Support third party auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Assist QA/CI with control and inspection plans.
• Participate in daily production meetings.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to maintain quality standards.
• Maintain and update required quality certifications.
