Job summary

Allied Modular Building Systems is seeking installation technicians to assemble modular walls and related components across the country. Most projects last 1–2 days to several weeks, with travel required.

You will be trained in 120V/220V prewire; must have reliable, insured vehicle and be ready to work out of town for several days. Starting pay is $23 per hour, with travel, lodging, per diem provided.

Responsibilities

• Assemble modular panelized walls system with roof, ceiling, lights, and other accessories.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and resolve concerns with communication.
• Explain system functions and operations to customers.
• Complete paperwork and track field inventory, expenses, and hours.
• Assist in providing our customers with the highest level of quality.
• Drive or fly and arrive on time at each job site.
• Maintain a professional and polished appearance on jobs.
• Respond quickly to managers and corporate calls, emails, and texts.
• Demonstrate urgency and self-motivation to complete jobs efficiently.

Job description

We have projects that last from 1–2 days to several weeks across the country. If you are familiar with electrical, we only do 120‑volt and 220‑volt prewire (cold) in our manufactured buildings. We will train you on how to do the rest. Applicants must have their own reliable and insured vehicle and identification to travel on planes, trains, or automobiles. We work with 100+ Fortune 500 type companies to install and service our customers nationwide.

Installation Technician Duties

• Assemble modular panelized modular walls system with roof, ceiling, lights, and other accessories.
• Maintain a high level of customer service at all times while on jobs and be able to resolve customer concerns with exceptional communication skills.
• Properly and clearly explain system functions and operations to customers.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and properly track all field inventory, expenses, and hours.
• Assist in providing our customers with the highest level of quality.
• Drive (or fly) and arrive on time at each job site.
• Maintain a professional and polished appearance at all times while on jobs.
• Respond quickly to managers and corporate calls, emails, and texts.
• Have a high sense of urgency and be self‑motivated to complete jobs quickly and effectively.

Preferred Criteria

• Perform installation and service of modular offices, walls, and buildings.
• Have mechanical knowledge.
• Own hand tools such as cordless drills, pliers, wire strippers, and other small hand tools.
• Be able to work out of town for days at a time; we pay for travel, lodging, per diem, and everything else.
• Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused material, and clean up installation debris.
