Job summary

Chief Industries, Inc. seeks a skilled construction/assembly worker to build floor sub-assemblies in accordance with required specifications. The role requires reading prints and measuring accurately with a tape measure, setting joists, ledgers, and hangers, and verifying square layout on site.

Qualifications

• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.
• Experience with construction tools.
• Basic assembly of sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Build side boards, locate measurements for joists and waterline location from prints.
• Layout floor joists by removing from rolling cart.
• Attach joists to sideboards.
• Attach 2x3 ledger board and hangers.
• Cross measure to verify floor is square.
• Install heat duct and belly paper.
• Secure floor to carrier with lags.
