Job summary

IES is seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer to support modular data center projects, combining office design work with field and fabrication facility involvement. The role requires deep expertise in mission-critical power systems, distribution, and low-voltage infrastructure, with collaboration across engineering, project management, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, a BS in Electrical Engineering, at least 10 years of electrical design experience in data centers, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience in data centers or mission-critical environments.
• Proficient in electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical systems for modular data center facilities, including power distribution, UPS, and backup generation.
• Prepare and stamp engineering documents as required by project specifications and authorities.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and low-voltage teams for integrated modular solutions.
• Support electrical commissioning, testing, and project closeout activities.
• Maintain knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards and related codes.
