Job summary

Schneider Electric in United States is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to oversee the end-to-end commissioning of modular data centers, integrating electrical, mechanical, and IT systems from FAT to site deployment.

The role requires a 3+ year background in commissioning, with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a willingness to travel to deployment sites as needed. This full-time position is on-site at client sites across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in commissioning, preferably in data centers or critical infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of modular construction and prefabricated systems.
• Familiarity with BMS, EPMS, and other monitoring/control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to deployment sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Coordinate with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure readiness.
• Perform FAT and SAT.
• Conduct functional testing of electrical systems, HVAC, fire suppression, and monitoring systems.
• Validate integration of IT infrastructure and network systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during commissioning.
• Maintain detailed commissioning records, test results, and punch lists.
• Prepare final commissioning reports and handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
