Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Onsite Certified Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 4PM-2AM) at their North Berwick location. This role requires U.S. citizenship and focuses on training newcomers with little or no machining experience to become Certified Operators.

Responsibilities include learning routine assembly of large engine designs, verifying work specifications, and maintaining machines. Comprehensive training with advancement opportunities is provided. Benefits include medical insurance, a bonus plan, and an employee scholar program.

Job Summary

Location: 113 Wells St, Wells, VT. Role: Onsite Certified Operator, 2nd shift (Mon‑Thu 4PM‑2AM) requiring U.S. citizenship. This role focuses on training newcomers with little or no machining/assembly experience to become a Certified Operator at Pratt & Whitney.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform routine assembly operations on large sections of current engine designs and a variety of similar assemblies.
• Learn to work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to complete tasks.
• Learn to verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Obtain operator Certification to be able to accept/reject parts.
• Learn to maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM).
• Learn to work collaboratively with engineers, quality assurance, programmers and other production personnel to resolve assembly problems and assist in part process development.
• Reference written work instructions for guidance with daily job activities. Work instructions are available in English only.

Training and Development

• 4‑8 weeks of on‑the‑job training to become a Certified Operator.
• Learn skills, systems, and processes critical to aerospace manufacturing within a state‑of‑the‑art facility.
