Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead the Modeling & Simulation (ModSim) team within the SEIT group of Mission Survivability Systems. The role balances functional oversight of 10–15 engineers with hands-on program work.

The successful candidate will drive algorithm design, model validation, and physics-based simulations using MATLAB, Python, and C/C++. A Secret clearance is required to start, and the position is on-site in Rolling Meadows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in engineering/technical discipline with minimum experience stated.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to work in a team.
• Strong technical problem solving and analysis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of engineers across multiple initiatives and programs.
• Ensure SEIT processes, cost, schedule and technical quality adherence for programs.
• Manage staffing, workload forecasts, and performance reviews; mentor and develop staff.
• Collaborate with talent acquisition to meet staffing commitments.
• Support MBSE, PLA, and Agile initiatives to provide competitive advantages.
