Job Overview

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Software Engineer 2 to work in Northridge, CA. The role involves integrating models and operational flight code into flight simulation systems for the SiAW missile system. The work primarily involves programming in C++, with some MATLAB, Python, and analysis tools development.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with integrating models and flight code into simulation environments.
  • Develop and analyze simulation models using C++, MATLAB, and Python.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team on software development, systems engineering, and analysis related to missile systems.
Basic Qualifications
  • BSc in software engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, systems engineering, or related field with 2 years of experience, or MSc with no experience.
  • Experience with C++ (object-oriented), Python (analysis or tool development), and MATLAB.
  • Knowledge of asynchronous development and 6DOF simulations.
  • Understanding of flight dynamics and sensors, with a security clearance (Secret) or ability to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with requirements validation, hardware-in-the-loop, high-performance computing, Monte Carlo simulations, and modeling of weapon systems.
  • Proficiency with CAMEO, operational analysis, and flight dynamics.
Additional Information

Location: Northridge, CA. Salary Range: $89,400 - $134,200. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, holidays, and bonuses. The application period is approximately 20 days, subject to change.
