Position Overview
The Air Combat and Strike Mission Analysis Group is seeking a Technical Lead to guide a team of scientists, engineers, and analysts in delivering advanced weapon system analysis. The role involves leading mission‑level analysis, providing technical thought leadership, mentoring team members, and ensuring timely, high‑quality insights.
Responsibilities
- Lead small teams in evaluating precision strike and/or air combat system effectiveness using mission‑level analysis tools.
- Provide technical leadership and task management to deliver high‑quality, insightful analysis.
- Mentor team members in analysis tools and techniques, fostering growth.
- Develop detailed task execution plans outlining objectives, technical approach, schedule, products, staffing, and required resources.
- Communicate regularly with sponsors to offer technical recommendations, direction, and integrate analytical capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace, Electrical, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in mission‑level modeling, simulation, and analysis; leading a team and answering stakeholder questions.
- Recent use of tools such as AFSIM, Brawler, Suppressor, JIMM, or EADSIM for effectiveness and survivability analyses.
- Experience in areas such as air vehicle survivability analysis, electronic warfare analysis, simulation development, planning C‑OPs, or end‑to‑end kill‑chain analysis.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate complex ideas to government civilians, military officers, and contractors.
- Skilled in quantitative analysis and rapid learning of new concepts.
- Eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) access.
- Must obtain Secret clearance at the time of hiring and be eligible to obtain Top‑Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience conducting mission‑level survivability and effectiveness analysis for combat aircraft and strike weapon systems.
- Active Top‑Secret clearance.
Benefits
