Overview
Torch Technologies is seeking a Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer 3 to provide MS&A support to the United States Space Force, Space Training and Readiness Command (USSF/STARCOM). This role focuses on modeling space warfighting capabilities within existing tools and developing application interfaces to integrate these capabilities into the Digital Engineering Ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Provide requirement recommendations for future updates to analytical models, methods, and M&S tools, with specific focus on radar and satellite system modeling.
- Augment tool requirement development through mission research and analysis and produce COAs for developing new analytical models and tools.
- Capture requirements for existing MS&A tools like AFRL's AFSIM or SDMC's EADSIM to add space effects and radar/satellite capabilities.
- Support development and implementation of distributed M&S frameworks addressing time synchronization, truth scene generation, and multi‑system integration challenges.
- Develop a plan to refine prototype modeling applications including relevant understanding of graphical user interfaces to refine data requirements, employment procedures, and usability for end‑user.
- Coordinate with others to identify and solve a variety of problems and clarify management objectives.
- Create analytical models and simulations for radar and satellite systems.
- Analyze space system operational, technical, programmatic, and acquisition inputs and formulate recommendations for senior leaders.
- Brief and interact with senior‑level officers (i.e., GO/FLAG) and senior civilians.
- Support requirements development and documentation for distributed M&S architectures.
Job Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, modeling and simulation, operations research, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related STEM field (master's degree highly preferred).
