Job Description

The position will support research and development projects in the Electromagnetic Warfare and Survivability Modeling and Simulation (EWSMS) Division under GTRI’s Electro-Optical Systems Lab (EOSL) with general simulation and modeling tasks during Fall 2026 Semester.The EWSMS Division provides modeling, simulation, and analysis of platform and system effectiveness and survivability in one-on-one, few-on-few, and many-on-many scenarios, as well as comprehensive kill chain analysis.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Student Assistant/Research Assistant

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or a related technical discipline
• Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
• 2.5or higher cumulative GPA

Preferred Qualifications

• Must have advanced MATLAB and C++ programing skills.
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools such as AFSIM
• Experience using configuration management tools such as GIT
• Secret Clearance

10-20 hours per week

U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

Clearance Type Required

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
