Job summary

0090 CORP-Corporate Office is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will support the Ground Weapons System program, contributing to modeling and simulation tools and analysis.

Job description

Position Overview

Modeling and Simulation Engineer – Level 2 or 3, Huntsville, AL. The selected engineer will support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the System Performance and Analysis – Data Analysis and Tools Team, providing technical contributions and guidance to modeling and simulation products that directly support the design and development of GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical contributions and guidance to modeling and simulation products.
  • Support GWS program as an individual contributor on the System Performance and Analysis – Data Analysis and Tools Team.
  • Develop and debug modeling and simulation software.
  • Analyze and decompose open‑ended technical problems into actionable plans with defined success criteria.
  • Perform root‑cause or forensic software analysis.
  • Develop trade studies, performance assessments, and work with data structures.
  • Utilize Atlassian tool suite and software version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
Basic Qualifications
  • Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer – Level 2:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience,
    • or Master’s Degree and 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer – Level 3:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience,
    • or Master’s Degree and 3 years of related experience,
    • or PhD and 1 year of related experience.
  • Must have current active in-scope US Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application. Must be able to support an in-person/closed-area work environment.
  • Experience with Python, MATLAB, or C++.
  • Experience developing modeling and simulation software or debugging complex software systems.
  • Experience with the Atlassian tool suite and software version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting missile defense programs such as GWS.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis (on software systems) or forensic software analysis.
  • Experience working with data structures, developing trade studies, or performing performance assessments.
  • Active Security+ certification.
Salary & Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 – $131,400.00. Secondary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 – $163,200.00. Salaries are based on scope and responsibilities, experience, education, skill, and market conditions. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and Long Term Incentives for VP/Director positions.
