Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Senior Modeling & Simulations Engineer to develop multi-fidelity, closed-loop models for hypersonic systems and related sensor, weapon, and cyber domains.

You will work with AF SIM and other M&S tools within a multi-location team to deliver analytical products and simulation-driven visuals for decision-makers. The role requires deep technical experience in C++, Python, MATLAB, and related modeling software, plus a current active secret

Qualifications

• US citizenship and an active secret level security clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical field required.
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience with M&S software development in C++, Python, MATLAB, and C.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-fidelity models for simulations to support hypersonic system development and test.
• Create accurate computer modeling techniques for hypersonic capabilities.
• Provide M&S analysis for hypersonic capabilities within mission engineering.
• Model weapon system performance in real-world environments and conduct AF SIM integrations.
• Deliver metrics-based products and executive-level presentations and visualization of simulations.

Job description

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is looking for a Senior Modeling & Simulations Engineer / Analyst that possesses a solid working knowledge and experience base in the development and production of multi-fidelity, closed-loop simulation capabilities for weapons, sensors, communications, directed energy, and/or Cyber systems to include electronic attack / electronic protection.

Ideally, this candidate will have some experience / exposure to AFSIM modeling. The Candidate will work with a high bandwidth, multi-location team primarily developing AFSIM models focused on hypersonic capabilities for integration into kill web simulations focused on hypersonic capabilities. They will also produce analytical products detailing performance impacts that advanced technologies provide within the kill web.

Essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement mission-to-high fidelity level models for simulations to support strategy, technology/concept development, requirements, design, and test of hypersonic systems.
• Develop accurate computer modeling techniques for assessing hypersonic capabilities.
• Provide Modeling and Simulation Analysis for hypersonic capabilities within the mission engineering construct
• Model weapon system performance in real-world environments by analyzing critical hypersonic performance and decision processes.
• Provide mission level modeling execution using M&S tools and techniques including Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM).
• Provide technical integration and implementation of other system
• Deliver metrics-based products and executive-level presentations and assist in producing simulation-driven visualizations.
• Support special studies as needed to include experimental efforts showing concept feasibility, analysis, data integration, and software development for communication technologies.
• Provide excellent customer support and demonstrate an ability to communicate with all levels of leadership and/or customers.

Required Qualifications

• US citizenship and an active secrel level security clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical field required.
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience developing and integrating M&S Software development skills include but not limited to C++, Python, MATLAB, and C.
• Experience working on classified and special access programs.
• Experience with modern architecture frameworks and designs.
• Experience performing R&D, technology maturation and insertion, analysis, testing, and systems engineering.
• Must be highly motivated, adept at exploring and learning about new technologies and have a demonstrated record of successfully taking ownership and responsibility for projects.
• Possess exceptional written and oral communication skills, ability to develop clear, concise, and logically written business communications, as well as deliver recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated effectiveness working in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment.
• Self-motivated yet able to work well within a development team.

Desired Skills and Experience

• MS or PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant technical experience developing and integrating M&S Software development skills include but not limited to C++, Python, Matlab, and C.
• Experience working in Windows and Linux operating system environments.
• Experience with integration of models from different coding languages
• Experience with hypersonic advanced concepts and strategic missions
• Not required, but experience with AFSIM model integration and modification is desired.

Travel Requirement:

• 10% travel within the US will be required.
