Job summary

MicroDental Laboratories is seeking a Model Technician to join our growing team in the United States. The ideal candidate will pour, trim, section and articulate stone models from patients’ impressions, while adhering to QA standards and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.

Qualified applicants with 5+ years of relevant experience may receive a sign-on bonus of $1000 after 120 days of continuous employment. Comprehensive benefits and investments in the latest dental technology are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental knowledge a plus; experience in a dental environment preferred.
• Excellent hand/eye coordination is essential.
• Ability to stand for extended hours and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Advanced die trimming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow directions on prescriptions.
• Follow in-process laboratory Quality Assurance standards.
• Pour, trim, section, and articulate stone models from impressions.
• Operate and maintain dental laboratory tools and equipment such as trimmers, lathes, saws, articulators, and cleaning devices.
• Maintain dental tools and equipment with cleanliness and care.
• Follow daily schedule and production goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities & Skills:

• Read and follow directions on prescription. Be able to understand a doctors’ preferences
• Follow in-process laboratory Quality Assurance standards
• Pour, trim, section, and articulate stone models from patients’ impressions
• Operate and maintain a variety of dental laboratory tools and equipment such as: trimmers, lathes, saw, articulators, and cleaning devices
• Maintain dental tools and equipment with cleanliness and care
• Follow daily schedule and production goals
• Other duties as assigned or as otherwise required

Qualifications:

• Dental knowledge a plus
• Previous experience in a relevant field or dental environment preferred
• Excellent hand/eye coordination
• Ability to stand for extended hours and lift weight up to 20lbs
• Advanced die trimming experience is a plus
• Milling center environment, computer-based workstation. Benchwork with high speed and low-speed handpieces
• High School Diploma or equivalent
