Job summary

Intel Corporation is seeking an SC Model Engineer in the Corporate Planning Capabilities Group to ensure supply chain planning model quality and deliver timely Solve runs for business processes across the product portfolio. You will collaborate with data stewards, IT, and planning teams to validate inputs and interpret results.

Responsibilities include leading monthly/weekly cadences, testing what-if scenarios, diagnosing model output anomalies, and translating product complexities into scalable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, data science, operations research, industrial engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in managing complex SC Planning models in semiconductor manufacturing (including multi-chip, multi-level DLCPs).
  • 3+ years of experience in building and implementing models through the creation of algorithms and running simulations to support current and future business needs.

  • Organizing activities across planning roles to ensure timely and correct input into SC Planning systems within monthly and weekly cadences.
  • Collaborates with Data Stewards, Operational Process Owners and IT to ensure model quality and timely solve runs (POR and adhoc).
  • Performs post-solve output analysis and provides go/no-go after POR solve runs for planning to proceed with business process.
  • Work with cross functional teams with insights that will support data and process optimization to test different courses of action.
  • Troubleshoot model output anomalies and identify fixes or improvements supporting planning stakeholders.
  • Drives planning model alignment with best practices and analytic support for planning parameters and quotas.
  • Ensure critical data insights are accessible and reliable for informed decision-making across Planning stakeholders.

Job Details: The SC Model Engineer role, reports into the Supply Chain Solutions team within the Corporate Planning Capabilities Group (CPC). This organization delivers the data, business processes, and solutions to enable visibility and decision making for the entire product portfolio and PnL at the speed of business. The CPC team sits within the Corporate Planning Group that exists to define and execute a corporate wide operating plan that leverage internal and external manufacturing capabilities to optimize for Intel's growth objectives. This role focuses on ensuring Supply Chain Planning model quality and supporting business stakeholders in ensuring timely and quality Planning Solves supporting Business process benchmarks.

Responsibilities
  • Organizing activities across planning roles to ensure Input into the SC Planning systems are timely and correct within the monthly and weekly Business Planning cadences.
  • Collaborates with Data Stewards, Operational Process Owners and IT to ensure model quality and timely solve runs (POR and adhoc).
  • Performs post-solve output analysis and provides the go/no-go after POR solve runs for Planning to proceed with business process.
  • Work with cross functional teams with insights that will support data and process optimization in order to test different courses of action (what-if scenario planning)
  • Trouble shoot model output anomalies, and identify fixes or improvements supporting Planning stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot supply chain issues and work with Solutions teams to develop system/business corrective actions.
  • Govern factors that impact model behavior and outcomes - routing set-ups, BOM preferences, inventory strategy, business rules and Business Parameter CTRL tables.
  • Drives planning model alignment with best practices and analytic support for planning parameters such as lead times, yields, DLCP splits, lot sizes, site and sourcing preferences and quotas, minimum loading rules, etc; provides training and facilitation.
  • Ensure critical data insights are accessible and reliable, enabling informed decision-making across Planning stakeholders.
  • Develop and improve framework for assessing model quality, drive model quality -Develop and improve methods and processes to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
  • Work with Solutions team to translate Intel's Product technology complexities (characteristics) into critical Supply Chain needs and requirements for Solutions' team to develop and implement capabilities.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure supply chain goals are met.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following: Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, postponement models, network and routing optimization, cost-to-serve analysis, and SC metrics. Excellent problem-solving, strong collaborator, with willingness to drive change. Skills to tell a story using data including visualization experience. Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities with a focus on root cause investigations. Understanding and experience in implementing lean project initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, data science, operations research, industrial engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in managing complex SC Planning models in semiconductor manufacturing (including multi-chip, multi-level DLCPs)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in building and implementing models through the creation of algorithms and running simulations to support current and future business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Intel's Product Data Management, Product profiles and Supply Chain Network is extremely advantageous to this role.
  • 3+ years of experience in Blue Yonder ESP, IBP or SCP.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulations.
  • Having both Demand and Supply Planning domain experience is an added advantage.
  • Time Series Statistical Techniques, ML Algorithms

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $136,900.00-269,150.00 USD
