Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a Model Maker II to fabricate and construct basic components and systems per engineering specifications and industry standards, under the guidance of senior technicians. This onsite role expects you to use drafting and CAD principles to support design and fabrication activities within the North America Division.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, an associate or Vo-Tech degree, and strong communication and teamwork skills,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience required.
• An associate degree, Vo-tech Degree, or equivalent experience is required.
• Must understand general drafting standards and CAD systems; sheet metal, tubing and assembly design and fabrication; design fabrication equipment operation/maintenance; office software use.
• Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently or within a team atmosphere.
• Individual task management skills.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and construct basic components and systems by engineering specifications and industry standards under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Support the Rheem North America Division onsite in Fort Smith, AR; follow established procedures and collaborate with team members.

Job description

The Model Maker II fabricates and constructs basic components and systems by engineering specifications, procedures, and acceptable industry standards under the guidance of/in support of senior technicians.

This position will serve our Rheem North America Division , located in Fort Smith, Arkansas . This position follows our Onsite work arrangement, with team members working in the office Monday through Friday .

• 3+ years of experience required.
• An associate degree, Vo-tech Degree, or equivalent experience is required.
• Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the concepts of: (A) General drafting standards and CAD systems; (B) Sheet metal, tubing and assembly design and design fabrication; (C) Design fabrication equipment operation, maintenance, and repair; (D) Office, email, calendar, document, and file management software use.
• Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently or within a team atmosphere.
• Individual task management skills.
• Must be able to safely climb, bend, or otherwise move while potentially carrying heavy equipment or parts, up to 50 pounds, occasionally.
