Mission Description

1. Fabricate prototype parts and modify production parts for testing based on drawings, blueprints, and sketches using various equipment.
2. Produce finished machined parts according to engineering specifications and modify existing parts as needed.
3. Identify and acquire materials for required parts.
4. Discuss potential and current fabrication issues with engineering and test lab staff related to prototype work.
5. Support engineering in fabricating prototype parts and modifying production parts for testing.
6. Support production equipment in critical situations.
7. Perform additional duties such as training, administration, and housekeeping as assigned.
8. Ensure quality, quantity, and timeliness of work, adhering to safety and policy standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, vocational training, or apprenticeship.
• 2-4 years of experience with apprenticeship papers or 10 years tool and die experience; proficiency in setting up and operating lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders.
• Preferred: 5-7 years apprenticeship or 15 years tool and die experience, mold construction, CAD/Master CAM skills.
