Job summary

Vantor Inc. is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer with experience in large-scale DoD missions and MBSE to lead analysis, verification, and integration across spacecraft sensing and radar-related programs. You will develop digital models, collaborate with government counterparts, and guide multidisciplinary teams through design reviews.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in STEM, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to work on-site several days per week. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field
  • 5+ years of experience with large-scale missions and systems engineering and integration
  • 3+ years of experience performing systems engineering analysis and developing systems engineering products for DoD or government systems
  • 3+ years of experience with MBSE and using digital engineering tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, SparxEA, DOORS, or IBM Rhapsody
  • Ability to perform multiple systems engineering and program management functions in support of design reviews and requirements verification
  • Ability to communicate with government clients, FFRDCs, and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals
  • TS/SCI clearance and Master’s degree are preferred
  • Experience with Model-Based Verification and Validation, MATLAB, STK, ModelCenter, or TeamCenter
  • Knowledge of SysML and DoDAF
  • OCSMP or INCOSE SE Certification are a plus

At Vantor, you'll work with the U.S. Space Force as part of the effort to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning (MW), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters to defeat our enemies in battle.

Within this role, you will:

Your functional expertise, communication and collaboration skills, and attention to detail will be vital as you contribute to the acquisition and development of space sensing capabilities. Qualifications:
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field
  • 5+ years of experience with large-scale missions and systems engineering and integration
  • 3+ years of experience performing systems engineering analysis and developing systems engineering products for DoD or government systems
  • 3+ years of experience with practical MBSE for the development of technical specifications, interface control documents, and system architecture, including using digital engineering tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw, SparxEA, DOORS, or IBM Rhapsody
  • Ability to perform multiple systems engineering and program management functions in support of design reviews and requirements verification
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers(FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals
Preferred Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Experience with Model-Based Verification and Validation
  • Experience with MATLAB, STK, ModelCenter, or TeamCenter
  • Experience analyzing and translating system requirements into design
  • Knowledge of Systems Machine Learning(SysML)and DoD Architecture Framework(DoDAF)
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical risks and issues, develop technical reports, and collaborate with government and other stakeholders to implement recommended solutions
  • OMG Certified Systems Model Professional(OCSMP)Certification
  • INCOSE SE Certification
Clearance: Secret
The position will require at least 2-3x per week on site. Meetings/schedules may require more days on site.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Washington:$95,000.00 - $201,000.00 annually.
