Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (HII), Warfare Systems within Mission Technologies, is seeking professionals to model and manage complex systems for national defense programs.

You will drive modeling, requirements traceability, and lifecycle oversight across multidisciplinary teams to support secure, mission-critical capabilities. Ideal candidates have strong SysML/UML skills, MATLAB experience, and familiarity with modeling tools like Cameo System Modeler, with a Secret clearance to start.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Software Engineering
• Knowledge or interest in the following: SysML and UML
• MATLAB
• Any Programming Language
• Linux
• Understanding of Systems Engineering Principles
• Experience with Cameo System Modeler or other comparable tools
• Experience with any Requirements Management tools (JAMA, DOORS, etc..)
• Must be able to work independently and have effective writing and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Clearance: Secret clearance to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with enhanced security checks.

Physical Requirements

Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
