Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. seeks a skilled Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support MSIC with MBSE methods and SysML modeling. You will work on requirements, architectures, and verification across cross-functional teams in a defense setting.

Applicants should have 6–10+ years in systems engineering and hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. The role is on site in Huntsville, AL, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship.
• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 6-10+ years of experience in systems engineering.
• Familiarity with systems engineering processes (e.g., requirements management, architecture definition, verification and validation).
• Experience with SysML modeling, tools, and techniques.
• Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability for complex systems.
• Develop and maintain system architectures, designs, and interface control documents.
• Conduct system-level testing, verification, and validation activities.
• Participate in trade studies, risk assessments, and technical reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and test engineers.
• Support the integration and testing of system components and subsystems.
• Document technical specifications, test plans, and project reports.
• Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools where applicable.
• Provide technical support and expertise throughout the system development lifecycle.

This position is Contingent Upon Contract Award Torch is seeking a talented Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support our customers at the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC). Model-Based Systems Engineering is a rapidly growing discipline within the Department of War (DoW) and Intelligence Community (IC), enabling more efficient, data-driven approaches to complex system development and analysis.

Job Qualifications

• Experience with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with SysML modeling, tools, and techniques.
• Experience with AFSIM is a plus.
• Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI.
