Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Model Based Systems Engineer to join our team in Crane, IN. This is an onsite position. Senior MBSE work involves high fidelity SysMLv2 models for the Navy and collaboration with customers to validate and refine each model.

Responsibilities include architecting, developing and integrating MBSE models, evaluating SysML approaches, and managing architecture implementation in Cameo Systems Modeler. Clearance and site presence are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field.
• 4+ years of systems engineering experience or NAVSEA experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Cameo Systems Modeler.
• 1+ years of experience with Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and integrate MBSE models of Navy systems for docs, analysis, and simulation.
• Evaluate technical options to determine the optimum SysML approach with customers.
• Review, extract, and abstract data from technical documentation for models.
• Manage implementation of the chosen architecture within Cameo, assign tasks to modelers.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of models and work products.
• Maintain configuration management of models and repositories.

Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Model Based Systems Engineer to join our team in Crane, IN . This is an onsite position.

As a Senior Model Based Systems Engineer, you will be working on high fidelity SysMLv2 models for the Navy. In this position, you will collaborate with customers to validate and refine each model.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Architecting, developing, and integrating MBSE models of Navy systems and processes to be used for documentation, engineering analysis, and simulation.

• Evaluate technical options to determine the optimum SysML approach in consultation with customers and management.

• Reviewing, extracting, and abstracting data from technical documentation for incorporation in system models.

• Manage the implementation of the selected architecture within Cameo Systems Modeler, including assigning tasks to modelers and ensuring the work meets the intent of the design.

• Performing quality assurance reviews of models and other work products.

• Maintaining configuration management of models and repositories.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field.

• 4+ years of systems engineer experience or experience working with NAVSEA systems in an engineering role.

• 3+ years of experience with Cameo Systems Modeler.

• 1+ years of experience with Jira and Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with or strong desire to learn SysMLv2.

• Experience with Navy technical documentation (e.g., technical manuals, installation drawings).

• Experience with PowerBI or other visualization tools.

• Experience with Visual Studio Code or similar text editor.

Clearance Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship required and a current or active Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
