Location: San Diego, CA

Position Overview

ISPA Technology LLC is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support engineering and architecture development efforts across NAVWAR and PEO C4I programs. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with strong experience in systems modeling, systems-of-systems (SoS) engineering, and architecture analysis using industry-standard MBSE tools and techniques. This position plays a critical role in developing the digital engineering backbone for naval C4I capabilities.


Key Responsibilities


  • Apply MBSE methodologies to design, analyze, and document complex systems and architectures across multiple naval platforms and systems-of-systems environments.

  • Develop and manage SysML/UML models and digital system representations using tools such as MagicDraw or Cameo Systems Modeler.

  • Support architecture trades, simulations, and executable modeling to inform decision-making and system development.

  • Translate high-level operational concepts and capability needs into detailed system requirements and design artifacts.

  • Work closely with stakeholders including system engineers, program managers, and operational users to refine architecture and ensure compliance with Navy and DoD digital engineering strategies.

  • Provide model integration support with system requirements, test planning, and verification activities.


Required Qualifications


  • Master's degree in any Engineering discipline (e.g., Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering).



  • 2+ years of professional experience in engineering roles with progressive responsibility.



  • Hands-on experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices and tools.

  • Proven track record in developing executable architectures, system models, and conducting simulations or analyses for system and enterprise-level architectures.

  • Familiarity with object modeling or object-oriented design methodologies.




Salary Range: $75,000 to $190,000 based on years of experience and qualifications.
