Job summary

Stellantis NV in Auburn Hills, MI seeks an Engine Calibration Engineer to support development, validation, and improvement of calibration methods for ICE, xHEV, and BEV programs. You will assist methodology development, data analysis, model correlation, validation planning, and documentation to boost repeatability, quality, efficiency, range, fuel economy, drivability, and emissions readiness.

Join cross-functional teams including CoE, Controls, Emissions, and Validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 3+ years in engine system development, calibration, controls, or model-based development.
• Experience with base engine dyno calibration on boosted/TJI engines.
• Knowledge of ICE subsystems (combustion, valvetrain, fuel, boost, EGR, aftertreatment).
• Data acquisition experience with dyno/vehicle/HIL/virtual test data.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for model-based analysis and calibration.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation habits.

Responsibilities

• Support gasoline base calibration methodology and related calibration areas.
• Assist release-readiness checklists, dataset maturity evidence, and documentation for calibration milestones.
• Document inputs, assumptions, and validation evidence for model-based/physics-based methods.
• Correlate vehicle, dyno, HIL/SIL/MIL, and virtual data to identify gaps.
• Support data analysis using MATLAB, Simulink, ETAS INCA, and other tools.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis, data summaries, and lessons learned.
