Job summary

Bell & Evans is seeking a dependable Mod Repair Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain poultry transport modules (mods) for our live operations. This hands-on role requires using hand and power tools, safe forklift operation, and a strong commitment to quality work.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Forklift experience preferred but training will be provided for qualified candidates.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Previous experience in equipment repair, mechanical maintenance, welding, fabrication, automotive repair, agricultural equipment, or industrial maintenance is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain plastic and metal components on poultry transport modules.
• Load, unload, and transport modules using a forklift.
• Safely move equipment throughout the repair area.
• Maintain a steady workflow while meeting daily production goals.
• Complete daily repair and progress reports; identify damaged components and communicate parts needs to shop management.
• Assist with maintaining an organized inventory of repair parts and supplies.
• Support seasonal trailer curtain replacements and repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

As a Mod Repair Technician, you will perform repairs and preventative maintenance on poultry transport modules while helping maintain an organized and efficient repair operation.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and the use of hand and power tools.
