Job summary

East-West Ministries International seeks a Director of Recruitment to lead the recruitment team, mobilize long-term missionaries, stateside workers and staff, aligning strategies with our Great Commission mission.

The ideal candidate will build external networks, coach leaders, and ensure doctrinal and cultural fit while preserving shepherd-hearted care and faith-based alignment. The position is based at our Plano, Texas offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading talent acquisition or mission mobilization.
• 5+ years direct reports management experience.
• Faith-based alignment and mandate.
• Experience with cross-cultural fieldwork or faith-based nonprofits.
• Proven sourcing and pipeline expansion.

Responsibilities

• Ground the day in prayer for candidates and team formation.
• Lead recruitment staff and help navigate roadblocks.
• Partner with Field, Operations, and Development to align requirements.
• Build external networks with churches, campuses, mission networks.
• Conduct diagnostic interviews for critical roles.
• Monitor department metrics, budget, and mobilization tools.
• Ensure clear, shepherd-hearted communication from application to deployment.
• Provide strategic leadership and holistic care for staff wellbeing.
