Freedom Motors USA, Inc. in Battle Creek, MI, seeks a Body Shop Technician to inspect and repair used Wheelchair Accessible Mobility Vehicles.

You will handle oil changes, tires, brakes, engine and transmission issues, and all mobility components such as hydraulics and electronics. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of professional mechanic experience, strong automotive knowledge, and the ability to read schematics and problem-solve under pressure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational/technical automotive repair training preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional mechanic experience.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine general mechanic work and maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair various general mechanical issues, including engine problems, transmission issues, and electrical faults.
• Perform routine general mechanic work and maintenance on installed mobility apparatus, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work performed on vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
