Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health is seeking a dedicated Rehab Support Aide in New London, NH to assist in mobilizing patients and supporting the therapy team. You will help with patient positioning, transfers, and personal care under supervision of Rehab therapists and nurses, ensuring safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, preparing treatment modalities, answering call bells, scheduling patients, and clerical duties for the rehabilitation department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical setting preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

• Assist with ambulation and exercise plan at direction of therapists or RN.

• Assist with transfers and mechanical lifting of debilitated patients.
• Assist in transporting patients to and from the gym or ancillary departments.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and orderliness of department.
• Perform daily equipment sweep on inpatient units.
• Assist with scheduling patients for therapy.
• Provide clerk duties including answering Rehab phones, triaging messages for the therapists, data collection and entry, assist therapists in gym, ensures needed supplies are ordered.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
