Job summary

Ochsner Health in Lafayette, LA seeks a Mobility Technician to assist patients with mobility tasks and transfers under clinical supervision. You will work with nursing and therapy staff to support mobility goals and document activities in PMP and EPIC.

The role requires basic life support (BLS) and a preferred High School diploma. Experience in patient care settings is a plus. This is a night shift with a 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM schedule and a commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in patient mobility or therapy settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient mobility and transfers as directed by clinical staff.
• Collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to support mobility goals.
• Document treatment sessions in Progressive Mobility Protocol (PMP) and EPIC.
• Inspect, maintain, disinfect, and store equipment; assist with supply procurement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care procedures and communicate with the interprofessional team.
