JOB SUMMARY: Assists in providing patient care and treatment in accordance with the Division of Nursing Standards. Promotes mobility and safety for all patients on the unit. Supports purposeful rounding and maintains the environment to minimize the risk of falls. Participates in turning schedules for patients at risk of pressure injuries. The age of the population served ranges from neonate to geriatric, or as defined in unit-specific standards in the assigned area.

Education & Training: High School diploma or equivalent. Certified by the Maryland State Board of Nursing as a Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required.
Work Experience: At least two (2) years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Experience in acute care is preferred.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; follow instructions; perform basic mathematical calculations; respond appropriately to emergencies; adapt to variable shift hours; work collaboratively in a team; organize and prioritize tasks; comply with OSHA standards; maintain patient confidentiality; foster a positive work environment; and demonstrate competency with patient mobility and safety equipment.
