St. Tammany Parish Hospital is looking for a Mobility Technician to facilitate patient safety and mobility tasks under supervision in an acute care setting. The role involves documenting transport functions and coordinating mobility activities.
The ideal candidate will be a high school graduate with a current BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include hospital experience and skills in Excel and Word processing.
Candidates should also possess good physical health, enabling them to perform various physical tasks as required.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Performs activities specific to patient safety and mobility under supervision of a licensed PT/PTA/OT/COTA or SLP, or for Registered Nurse while following Progressive Mobility (PM) duties as well as safe and efficient transportation of patients from setting to setting in the acute care setting. Performs designated routine patient mobilization tasks and coordinates daily unit specific patient mobilization activities. Documents Transport functions on Command Center, relays Progressive Mobility Rounds to pt nurse and works under the direction of PT/OT/SLP regarding assistance with therapy per individual pt. Mobility techs also perform additional administrative duties as assigned specific to Progressive Mobility.
