St. Tammany Health System is seeking a Mobility Tech to perform activities related to patient safety and transportation in Covington, Louisiana. The role requires graduation from high school or GED, and current BLS certification. You will assist in mobilization tasks under the supervision of licensed staff, document procedures, and ensure efficient patient transport.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Performs activities specific to patient safety and mobility under supervision of a licensed PT/PTA/OT/COTA or SLP, or for Registered Nurse while following Progressive Mobility (PM) duties as well as safe and efficient transportation of patients from setting to setting in the acute care setting. Performs designated routine patient mobilization tasks and coordinates daily unit specific patient mobilization activities. Documents Transport functions on Command Center, relays Progressive Mobility Rounds to pt nurse and works under the direction of PT/OT/SLP regarding assistance with therapy per individual pt. Mobility techs also perform additional administrative duties as assigned specific to Progressive Mobility.
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required.
