Job summary

Superior Van & Mobility in South Bend, IN is hiring a Service Technician to join our team. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing adaptive mobility equipment and automotive accessibility devices, with a focus on improving customers’ mobility and independence.

We offer a Monday–Friday daytime schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM and opportunities for professional growth within the company.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Prior automotive repair experience is strongly preferred; electrical experience is a plus.
Valid driver’s license is required for service evaluations, test drives, and parts/supplies transport.

Responsibilities

Communicate with customers and coworkers to confirm service needs.
Diagnose, repair, and install automotive mobility and electrical equipment per company and NMEDA standards.
Inspect and test vehicles for quality, damage, and compliance; document findings and repairs.
Review and ensure quality of work completed by other technicians.
Maintain accurate service, repair, and installation records.
Drive vehicles for diagnostics, customer pick-up/drop-off, and post-service delivery.
Keep work areas, tools, and shop facilities clean and organized.
Respond to after-hours service calls, including on-site visits when needed.
Support training and supervision of apprentice technicians.
