New Horizons in Autism, Inc. (NHIA) is seeking a Mobility & Community Support Specialist to assist adults with autism in Bergen, Monmouth, and Ocean Counties. The role involves direct care, transportation, and implementing support plans, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork with clinical staff.

You must have a valid NJ driver’s license and be comfortable driving regularly. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, with starting pay of $28.00/hour (potential $30.00/hour after

Driving Is a Major Part of This Job

You MUST be comfortable driving and have a valid NJ Driver’s License. Staff regularly transport individuals to community activities, appointments, employment opportunities, and other program destinations.

This Is a High-Support Position

You will support individuals with highly intensive behaviors and complex needs. Experience with Individual Support Plans (ISP), Behavior Support Plans (BSP), Level 3 Support Plans, behavioral interventions, and crisis/de-escalation strategies are strongly preferred.

You must be able to remain calm under pressure, follow individualized plans, document accurately, and work closely with clinical and supervisory teams.

• Valid NJ Driver’s License
• Willing and able to drive regularly
