Job summary

West Coast Wound and Skin Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our field-based wound care team, traveling to patient homes to provide hands-on clinical support.

In this role you will prep patients for procedures, assist providers, document findings, and coordinate visits while maintaining infection control and patient privacy standards. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with pay at $22 per hour.

Qualifications

• MA certification required
• 1–2 years clinical experience preferred
• Home health/mobile care experience a plus
• Strong medical terminology knowledge
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while following protocols
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated clinical tasks and patient care in field settings
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist providers during visits
• Document findings and act as a scribe for physicians
• Monitor patient progress and perform chart checks
• Coordinate scheduling and patient visits
• Make initial assessment calls with new patients
• Manage medical supplies and equipment inventory
• Adhere to infection control and privacy standards
• Communicate with providers, nurses, and staff to ensure continuity of care
