Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking veterinarians to provide in-home hospice and peaceful euthanasia care across California communities, including Anaheim, Huntington Beach, Santa Ana, Irvine, and surrounding areas.

We offer flexible scheduling with 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-day opportunities, a competitive salary starting at $120,000 for 4-day roles and $145,000 for 5-day roles, plus quarterly performance bonuses. Join a family-owned practice prioritizing independence and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Active North Carolina veterinary license or eligibility.
• Valid driver's license.
• A compassionate heart and commitment to exceptional end-of-life care.
• Availability consistent with the position's schedule, including some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate in-home hospice and peaceful euthanasia care for patients and families.
• Coordinate with families and aftercare support to ensure smooth transitions.
• Maintain professional independence while leveraging support from our coordination team.

Our compensation structure is designed to reward your dedication while providing financial stability, with 4-Day positions starting at $120,000 annually and 5-day positions offering a $145,000 annual base salary, plus additional Quarterly Performance-Based Bonus Opportunities.

Our Two, Three-Day and Self-Managed Flex Scheduling Opportunities Available with Pro-Rated Compensation adjusted based on the agreed-upon schedule.
