Clean Harbors Cleveland, OH is looking for a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic to join their safety-conscious team! This position is responsible for routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of the company fleet at various branch locations throughout the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize health and safety by following all safe work practices, policies, and procedures, and acting safely at all times.
  • Correct equipment deficiencies and perform preventative maintenance on company-owned equipment as directed by management.
  • Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify any unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Comply with all PPE requirements during work activities.
  • Travel to other locations for repairs and maintenance as required.
  • Complete and submit all paperwork related to maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain active light-duty or DQ driver status as per vehicle type.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • At least 1 year of experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
  • At least 1 year of DOT inspection experience required.
  • Own basic tools required.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory up to 70% of the time.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
  • Ability to conduct inspections, scheduled PMs, and diagnostic tests, and identify worn or damaged parts for replacement.
  • Ability to pass background, drug, and physical tests upon hire.
