Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is hiring Mobile Vehicle Condition Inspectors to conduct on-site inspections for dealer clients within an assigned territory. The role requires accurate documentation of vehicle condition and adherence to Manheim inspection standards, acting as a brand ambassador for Cox Automotive.

Roles are available at Level 1, Level 2, and Senior levels. Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license; experience levels vary by tier.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record required.
• Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role within required timeframes.
• 0-1 Years Of Automotive-related Experience Preferred.
• 3+ years of related experience preferred for Level 2.
• 5 years of related experience preferred for Senior Level.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections in accordance with Manheim inspection standards.
• Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles safely on dealer client lots.
• Verify vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; ensure accurate system entry.
• Inspect and document exterior and interior conditions, including mechanical components.
• Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports; utilize Salesforce.com for reporting.
• Build trust with dealer clients and grow participation in mobile inspection services.
• Maintain safety and compliance with inspection standards and policies.
