Job summary

Lightship is seeking a Software Engineer to own Android UI/UX for vehicle controls and telemetry visualization. You will transform telematics data into an intuitive mobile interface and collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and cloud services.

You'll also contribute to cloud infrastructure and cross‑platform development using Kotlin, Flutter, and Firebase/AWS. Collaboration with hardware, QA, and design is essential for end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing Android UI/UX and vehicle-control interfaces.
• Experience integrating embedded systems with mobile apps.
• Proficiency with cloud services and APIs (Firebase, AWS).
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Experience with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, QA).

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement Android UI/UX for vehicle controls and telemetry visualization.
• Integrate mobile apps with backend and cloud services; collaborate with backend teams.
• Develop and maintain cross-platform interfaces with Flutter as needed.
• Collaborate with third-party teams on features and releases.
• Contribute to cloud server applications and infrastructure.
• Follow best practices, perform code reviews, and document upgrades.
