Job summary

McGriff Tire & Service in Oxford, AL is seeking a Road Service Technician to perform semi-trailer repairs and daily maintenance. The role requires mechanical aptitude with experience in brakes, electrical, tires, welding, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance, plus familiarity with DOT inspections and compliance.

You will access all trailer areas for maintenance, perform safety inspections, and ensure compliance with EPA/OSHA rules.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined with experience in semi-trailer repairs (brakes, electrical, tires, welding, hydraulics, maintenance).
• Experience with DOT inspections and mounting/dismounting tires is a plus.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug test, and have clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on trailing equipment per manufacturer & company schedules.
• Access any area of the equipment to perform maintenance (on/in/under trailers).
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare safety documentation.
• Follow policy and procedures for repairs; participate in training and other duties as assigned.
