Job summary

Quality Truck Care Center, Inc. is hiring a Trailer Technician / Trailer Mechanic at our De Pere location. You will perform DOT and PM inspections, diagnose issues, and repair brakes, air systems, electrical systems, and suspensions.

Welding and fabrication of trailer components are included in daily work, with emphasis on accuracy and safety. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, training opportunities, and career advancement within a family‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with trailer repair and DOT inspections is preferred.
  • Welding/fabrication skills are desirable for metal components.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities are essential.
  • CDL is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform DOT and Preventative Maintenance inspections on trailers.
  • Diagnose and repair brake, air, electrical, and suspension systems.
  • Weld and fabricate steel and aluminum trailer components.
  • Complete work orders and service documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Position Summary:

Correctly perform DOT & PM Inspections on trailers. Repair or replace damaged or worn parts, including brakes, air system, electrical system and suspension components. Perform welding and fabrication repairs. Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain accurate records of all work performed.

What You’ll Do:
  • Perform DOT and Preventative Maintenance inspections on trailers
  • Diagnose and repair brake, air, electrical (lighting, ABS), and suspension systems
  • Weld and fabricate steel and aluminum trailer components
  • Complete work orders and service documentation accurately
  • Handle on-site service calls when needed
  • Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized
  • Work professionally with customers, drivers, and team members
What We’re Looking For
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License (CDL preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, or trailer repair preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform hands-on tasks safely
  • Dependable, motivated, and committed to quality work
