Job summary

Clarke Power Services, Inc. in Charlotte seeks an experienced Mobile Trailer Mechanic to perform repairs and maintenance on semi-trailers, dollies, and power units. You will diagnose issues and support on-road service calls to meet safety and customer-service standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of trailer body work, basic troubleshooting, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently. CDL is a plus; DOT Med Card required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years major trailer body work experience required.
• Basic computer/troubleshooting skills required.
• CDL is a plus and DOT Med Card must be obtainable.
• A valid driver's license with clean record; no drugs/alcohol violations within last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs PMI's on semi-trailers, dollies, drop van trailers, Class 6-8 power units, all makes/models.
• Executes brake, steering, suspension, electrical, A/C and minor engine repairs.
• Test drives vehicles under 26,000 GVW.
• Mobile service truck/trailer road calls.
• Assist other technicians when needed; work independently.

Mobile Trailer Mechanic

Mon-Fri: First/Extended Shifts Available!

Up to $35/hr! (depending on experience)

Are you a Diesel Technician / Truck/Trailer Mechanic looking for a great new opportunity? We would like to talk with you! Our team is currently looking for an experienced Truck/Trailer Mechanic - Mobile Service Truck/Trailer Technician to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will perform truck/Trailer repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.

Truck/Trailer Mechanic - Mobile Service Truck/Trailer Technician Repairs all makes and maintains customer vehicles and other equipment by performing the following duties. Some duties include road service.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs PMI's on Semi-Trailers, Dollies, Drop Van Trailers, Class 6-8 Power Units, all makes and models
• Perform all types of brake, steering & Suspension, electrical, and A/C, & minor engine repairs
• Test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW.
• Mobile Service Truck/Trailer Road Calls
• Assist other technicians when needed.
• Must be able to work independently

PHYSICAL And SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
• The associate must be able to read and write reports.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• 3-5+ years major trailer body work experience is a must
• Basic computer/trouble shooting skills
• CDL is a plus
• Welding Experience a plus
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
