Job summary

DeepOcean is seeking a Driver - Shop Technician to join our Houston team. The role focuses on safe transportation, maintenance, and organization of tooling and equipment to support shop, warehouse, field, and project operations.

You will perform inspections, assist with tooling staging, and help ensure availability of equipment for upcoming projects. The position requires a high school diploma, a valid license, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required.
• 1–2 years of experience in driving, equipment handling, or mechanical work.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor.
• Forklift certification or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport tools, equipment, and personnel.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload tooling in accordance with safety procedures and DOT requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance on vehicles, trailers, tools, and shop equipment.
• Assist with inventory management and distribution of tooling and equipment.
• Coordinate with operations and field teams to ensure tooling is available when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe tooling shop, yard, and vehicle areas.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks, trailers, and offshore equipment.
