Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Tire Technician to install and inspect tires on company tractors and trailers at customer sites and rail yards.

The role may require outdoor work, various shifts, including nights and weekends, with overtime possibilities and full-time attendance. Responsibilities include tire installation, safety compliance, inventory organization, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights/weekends.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and pass JB Hunt standards for operation of a company vehicle.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, this position is responsible to properly installing and inspecting tires on company tractors and trailers on customer sites and rail yards. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Install and inspect tires on tractors and trailers using Company guidelines
• Observe all Company safety requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Organize and maintain tire inventory for trucks
• Ensure compliance of safety policies including all safety and OSHA requirements while at a customer facility or rail yard

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
• Must possess a valid drivers license and ability to pass J.B. Hunt standards for operation of a company vehicle
• Basic tools are required to successfully perform this role. These tools must be supplied by the employee in most locations. Employees without their own tools may obtain them through toolbox purchase program

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 6 to 12 months in tire related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid drivers license and ability to pass J.B. Hunt standards for operation of a company vehicle.

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education,experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may beeligible forannual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of theCompany’s bonusand incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
