Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is hiring a Tire Service Technician to respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck.

You will mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires for passenger, light truck, and heavy-duty fleets, diagnose tire issues, and perform light mechanical repairs as needed. This role emphasizes safety, clear communication, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred but not required.
• Able to lift/move tires 30–250 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside and on-site service calls with a fully equipped service truck.
• Mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires across all vehicle types.
• Diagnose tire-related issues and perform light mechanical repairs as needed.
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
• Operate TPMS and other diagnostic tools; maintain vehicle and equipment.
• Follow safety policies, DOT regulations, and traffic laws; provide clear service timelines.
• Assist with warehouse or shop duties when not on service calls.
