Job summary

McCarthy Tire in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Road Service Technician to perform tire mounting, balancing, rotation and repair for customers, both at client locations and on the road.

Candidates must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires, including mounting and dismounting. On-call and night service are required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Minimum age 18.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Experience with heavy duty and commercial tires, particularly tire mounting and dismounting.

Responsibilities

• Perform service (mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires) and repair work for customers as directed by Service Manager (both inside and mobile).
• Drive to customer locations or provide roadside service for inspections and tire repair.
• Responsible for safe operation of company vehicles including compliance with speed and traffic regulations.
• Participates in training, follows safety procedures, job duties and company policies.
• On call and night service as scheduled.
