Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a Tire Service Technician to respond to roadside and on-site service calls with a fully equipped service truck. The role covers mounting, balancing, and repairing tires for passenger to industrial applications.

Finger-tip diagnostics include TPMS and basic mechanical repairs; responsibilities also include tire inspections, fleet checks, and safe truck maintenance. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
• Possible overtime may be required.
• Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift and move tires weighing 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance.
• Capable of working independently in various weather and road conditions.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck.
• Mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires across passenger, light truck, commercial truck, and industrial types.
• Diagnose tire-related issues and perform light mechanical repairs as needed.
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
• Perform fleet inspections and preventative maintenance checks when required.
• Operate TPMS and other diagnostic tools; maintain service truck and tools.
