Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled field installer in Oregon to handle GPS/telematics installations and related wiring on a range of fleet assets. You will travel to customer sites, perform on-site diagnostics, and ensure high-quality, safe installations.

Documentation of each job with photos and notes is required. Ideal candidates have hands-on automotive or electrical experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to read wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools in a mobile setting.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring and trailer connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test system functionality and diagnose issues on-site.
• Document installations with photos, device info, and service notes.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations.
• Maintain safety and quality in right-first-time installations.
