Job summary

Norm Reeves Ford is seeking a Utility Technician with recall duties to support production and quality assurance. The role focuses on recall inspections, basic maintenance, and mobile service at customer locations.

You will use Ford diagnostic equipment and follow service procedures to diagnose and complete repairs, including tire work, software updates, and minor services as needed.

Qualifications

• Full-time availability and 18+ years old.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience from an automotive school or program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct recalls to Ford quality standards.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs at customer locations.
• Identify defects and coordinate resolutions with teams.
• Use Ford diagnostic tools and repair procedures to diagnose and complete repairs.
• Perform oil changes, battery replacements, brake work, recalls, software updates and other mobile services.
• Rotate, mount and balance tires; perform alignment checks.
• Assist with 121-point inspections and other minor services.
• Contribute to additional duties as needed.

Description

As a Utility Technician with recall duties at Norm Reeves Ford, you will be responsible for supporting various aspects of production and quality assurance, with a specific focus on conducting recall inspections of vehicles. In addition to your PDI responsibilities, you will perform routine maintenance services.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct recalls to ensure they meet Ford's quality standards and specifications.
• Perform Ford scheduled maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs at customer locations.
• Identify and document any defects, damages, or issues discovered during the inspection process, and coordinate with appropriate teams for resolution.
• Utilize Ford diagnostic equipment, service information, and repair procedures to accurately diagnose and complete repairs.
• Perform services including oil changes, battery replacements, brake repairs, recalls, software updates, and other approved mobile services.
• Rotating tires and implementing tire repairs according to vehicle standards
• Effectively mounting and balancing tires
• Performing alignment checks
• Conducting multi-point inspections (121-point inspection)
• Assisting in various minor services including software updates, key programming, and replacing windshield wipers
• Performing other duties as needed
