Job summary

Fleet Equipment LLC is seeking a Service Truck Technician in New York to diagnose, repair, and maintain trailer systems. You will handle mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components, perform DOT inspections, and document usage of parts and hours worked.

You will also perform preventative maintenance, operate the service truck safely, and communicate repair status with the Service Manager. The role requires a valid driver’s license and DOT certification eligibility; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in diesel, trailer, or heavy equipment repair preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of trailer or heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Must have or be able to obtain DOT certification.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and standard shop practices.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and recordkeeping skills.

About the role
