Mobile Support Unit Aircraft Technician – Atlanta, GA

We are seeking a Mobile Support Unit (MSU) Aircraft Technician for one of our valued clients in Atlanta, GA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in private aviation, performing advanced troubleshooting and maintenance on AOG aircraft during road trips.

About The Role

As an MSU Aircraft Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and service aircraft systems. Your expertise in aircraft mechanics, avionics, and maintenance coordination will help ensure aircraft are safely and efficiently returned to service.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with scheduling, flight crews, technical support, vendors, and leadership
• Perform maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical and avionics systems
• Work independently to execute assigned maintenance and avionics tasks
• Coordinate, order, receive, and inspect all tooling and materials needed to service aircraft
• Inspect MSU truck, tools, and supplies for calibration, operation, and safety
• Arrange shipment of core units and tooling back to designated locations
• Complete work order signoffs, logbook entries, shift turnovers, expense reports, and other paperwork
• Ensure all maintenance work meets quality standards, manuals, and policies
• Maintain professional relationships and uphold the company's reputation
• Tag, store, and identify aircraft components securely and safely
• Supervise operation of support equipment for major component removal and installation
• Coordinate with Line Service and FBO to schedule aircraft movement
• Provide aircraft status updates and activity reports to Maintenance Control Center and leadership
• Display reliability, self-motivation, and professionalism, especially under pressure
• Assist in training junior employees
• Stay current with company training requirements

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
• Valid driver’s license
• 4+ years of experience in aircraft inspection, maintenance, or servicing for corporate aviation
• 2+ years of experience with Citation XL, Citation X, Beechcraft King Air, Hawker Beechcraft 400XP, Phenom 300, or Challenger 350 aircraft
• Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for these aircraft models

Preferred:

• FCC license
• Formal Flight Safety Maintenance training for noted aircraft models

Compensation & Benefits

Salary is $49.00/hour, with additional discretionary annual incentives based on performance.
